These practice tests are designed to help you prepare for the required Pennsylvania knowledge exams — not only for your CDL, but also for the endorsements needed to operate an air-brake equipped school bus.
Most drivers find it helpful to start in Learn Mode, then move to Exam Mode once they feel confident.
In Learn Mode you will be able to prepare for the tests by building on your existing knowledge and gaining the confidence you will need to succeed. Each time you access one of the four tests that are available, twenty (20) random questions will be selected from a question bank. In this mode you will be able to:
- Know when you select an answer whether it is right or wrong
- Receive immediate feedback drawn from the School Bus Drivers Manual
- See the result (score and review of incorrect answers) after all questions have been answered
- Exit the test at any time without the results being displayed
Once you have mastered the material it is time to switch to Exam Mode.
You will be required to login in this mode.
This mode will more closely reflect the actual test(s) at the DMV. It will still be twenty (20) random questions selected from a question bank. However, in this mode you will:
- Be able to move forward and back through the questions
- Be able to skip questions if you need to
- Not know if you selected the correct answer
- Not receive feedback during the exam
- Only receive the result after you submit the exam for scoring
